I've read a little of each book and have settled on The Seeing Stone. Let's read through the chpater titled "City of Cheesestone," page 104. I hope you find it enjoyable! Here are the new literature circle job assignments.
Hope- Passage Picker w/Art (your choice of medium)
Abigail- Savvy Summarier
Dave- Discussion Director
Noah- Dictionary Detective; Would you also like to do Fortune Teller? It's fine to have this job doubled up, and dictionary detective is not that big of a job. The challenge of it is to pick a word that is important enough to the story that it takes us into a discussion. You're good at provoking discussion, so maybe you will not find it so challenging. We'll see, huh?

During the next class, I want to have a discussion about author's craft, literary devices or tools authors use to enhance their writing, and which of these devices we are likely to see in a work of fantasy.
